Composition: A safe, colorless, water-soluble lubricating gel for general clinical lubricating needs.
Use: Surgi-gel Lubricating Gel has lubricating properties and is intended to be used for personal lubrication and surgical lubrication of non-sterile mucosal surfaces and orifices.
Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to Methyl Hydroxybenzoate, Potassium Sorbate or Benzoic Acid.
Directions for Use: Apply to instruments or directly to mucosal surfaces and orifices as required.
Adverse Reactions:
- Surgi-gel PLUS is normally well tolerated, but should skin irritation occur, discontinue use.
- Sensitization has occurred when medications containing hydroxybenzoates have been applied to damaged or broken skin.
- Benzoates may produce contact reactions, these reactions would not be a concern assuming limited exposure, as well as limited duration and frequency of use.
- After topical use, local irritation may occur. Hypersensitivity reactions have been reported.

Storage: Store below 30°C.
Poison Schedule: Not scheduled using the criteria in the Standard Uniform Schedule for Medicines and Poisons.
